Every 20 seconds, a child dies from a water-related disease.
WHAT WE DO
Clean Water Movement (CWM) serves as a voice and a face for educational programs in rural
communities of Uganda and Bolivia who are considered the poorest of the poor. These programs
focus on teaching and enabling these communities how to drill their own wells for clean
water, protecting innocent children from death and disease due to lack of access to clean
water.
Once clean water is flowing in these communities, the programs we fund teach appropriate
farming methods, crop management, brick making, small business leadership, and much more.
CWM was founded in 2010 as a different kind of charity. We are 100% volunteer-run and our
mission is to raise funds and bring awareness to these programs. You aren’t giving someone
clean water. You’re teaching them how to access clean water themselves and use in life-changing
ways.
WHY BOTHER?
Every year, 1.5 million children under the age of 5 die from diarrheal disease attributable to
unsafe water or poor sanitation and hygiene. (World Health Organization)
Listen to Emma’s story (video below), a powerful testament to the fact that these programs work. Emma’s family is just one of thousands
changed forever by these programs. It’s worth every penny.
DONATE OR HELP
CWM serves as a voice for organizations like Water for All International, Aqua Yaku, and
others. We are a tax-exempt, 501(c)3 non-profit and all U.S. donations are fully tax-deductible.
We are a volunteer-operated organization, all administrative expenses are covered by
our Board of Directors. Every dollar you give goes directly towards the ongoing clean
water programs we fund.
